With under 2 weeks to go, the countdown to The Big Simplicity Blog Meet has officially started! If you’re reserved your spot at the meet, then get ready for a Saturday packed full of stitching.
We’ll be joined by the fabulous May Martin, who is set to kick start her first workshop at 11am – talking us through her top sewing tips, her favourite Simplicity patterns and in the afternoon, helping answer all those need to questions you have about a particular sewing skill or tricky task. The day is set to then come to a close at 3.30pm.
In other exciting news, we’ll also be joined by the fabulous Ashley Cramp, better known in stitching circles as Lazy Daisy Jones – who will be running through how the Simplicity link came about, offering up her top tips for completing her 8087 pattern and joining in on all the sewing fun.
NEW VENUE: We’re now stitching away in Castlefield Rooms
After a little hiccup with the lighting at the last venue, we’re now set to stitch away in The Merchant Room at Castlefield Rooms, next to Dukes 92. We wanted to make sure you could see all of May’s lovely handiwork! The address is 18-20 Castle St, Manchester, M3 4LZ – which is a 5-minute walk from Deansgate station, or a 15-minute taxi drive away from Piccadilly station. If you’re driving, there is also parking at the venue.
We’ll be emailing all confirmed attendees with these details, but if you have any questions then please do get in touch before the day.
Capture the day & see your pic on @SewSimplicity
At last year’s Simplicity blog meet we loved seeing all your pictures of the sewing in action – so remember to snap away and send them our way. We’ll be adding the best ones to our Twitter, Facebook & Instagram pages – so remember to @SewSimplicity on the day.
